THE VIBRANT WORK OF SUYAPA QUINN
Suyapa Quinn’s creative process is deeply influenced by everything she encounters. She draws inspiration from visual beauty and music, which directly impact her artistic vision and the physical movements she makes while painting. Her biggest source of inspiration comes from objects found in the environment—items people discard or overlook. These objects become the focal point of her work, celebrated for their beauty and the stories they hold. Her art process is characterized by a deep appreciation for the world around her and a commitment to expressing emotions. Suyapa believes that everyone possesses creativity, which she views as a form of problem-solving and decision-making. Through her art, she learns to appreciate the world, express her emotions, and engage with her audience on a profound level.Suyapa’s work often revolves around objects that convey a narrative. Her oil paintings are rich with vibrant colors and intricate details, bringing to life the themes and stories she wishes to communicate. The consistency in her style and technique allows her to create a cohesive body of work where objects take center stage, each telling a unique story through the colors and compositions she chooses. In addition to her visual arts, Suyapa has recently ventured into children’s literature. Her book, “I Am TIRED and CRANKY!” is designed to help children enhance their vocabulary, develop reading skills, and begin to become proficient in a second language.
ARTIST STATEMENT: REFLECTIONS AND MOTIVATIONS
I believe that art is a reflection of the artist’s soul. It is a way to express my innermost thoughts and feelings and share them with the world. Art should evoke emotions, whether happiness, sadness, anger, or anything in between. It should be a force for good, bringing people together through shared experiences and emotions.I am deeply passionate about my art, cherishing every piece I create. Some works stand out more than others, but each one holds a special place in my heart. As an artist, my goal is to capture and convey emotions through my paintings. I am constantly inspired by the beauty I find in everyday objects and moments, whether it’s the texture of a bathmat or the intricate designs of high fashion.Creating art is both my greatest joy and my deepest passion. It allows me to explore and express the beauty I see in the world. Sometimes, painting serves as a cathartic release, helping me process life’s challenges. More often, it is an exhilarating experience, a way for me to immerse myself in the wonder of creation. Art is not just what I do; it is an integral part of who I am.
"As an artist, my mission is to create pieces that enrich the lives of those who view them. Whether you have an idea in mind or a project to discuss, I would love to hear about it." - Suyapa Quinn
